I agree with Claus! But just one question... Why does Claus talk about Claus in the third person?
-
Klaus, you sure stirred up a shit storm of Butt hurt little sister's dress wearing sissy girls with this one. Oh my aching little XVM ass cheeks. Keep it up and maybe we will get a fair game that all these little twerps playing something they can cheat better at.
-
Clown, Sorry man. Just plz stop. Why are you Modding your voice? AYE
-
The biggest reason I use mods is for the XVM multi-lined carousel. I currently have 374 tanks in my garage, and it's a royal pain to find the tanks I want without the multi-lined carousel. Even WoT's new 2-line carousel isn't efficient enough for me.
The carousel mod also has more filter options than vanilla, plus I can add various tank stats to the carousel icons: battle tiers (shows which tiers tank can see in battle), # of battles, win rate, average damage, mastery badge, Marks of Excellence icon + percentage, and xTE rating.
I also have it set to display each tank icon at 80% its normal size, as well as smaller spacing between icons (2 pixels instead of 5).
I use Session Stats (garage mod) that shows more information about my battles (resets every day at server reset time, 6am EST or 7am EDT):
- Gross/Net Credits earned
- Wins/Battles
- Average Tier
- Experience Earned
- Experience Earned (daily multiplier)
- Free Experience Earned
- Kills + Kills/Battles
- Deaths + Deaths/Battles
- Hits/Shots
- Penetrating Hits/Hits
- Total Damage Dealt + Damage/Battles
- Total Damage Received + Received/Battles
- Enemies Spotted + Spotted/Battles
- Base Defense Points + Points/Battles
- Base Capture Points + Points/Battles
- Average Efficiency + WN8 Rating
---------------------
Other non-battle mods:
- Price button in tech tree and research page
- Mastery mark in tech tree
- Change default currency from gold to credits (ammo, consumables, camo, emblems, inscriptions)
- Display clock in hangar
- Remember favorite server (so I always get NA East)
- Auto-login to server
- Premium tanks in garage are gold-colored
- Crew XP - shows me how much xp my crew earns in each battle, how much they need for each level, and to reach 100%, etc...
---------------------
The only mods I use for in-battle are:
- Custom Sixth Sense icon (I use my own, not part of mod pack installation)
- Custom icon for spotted enemy vehicles (only uses a different icon than the vanilla icon)
- Dynamic spotting range circle + 445m spotting range circle + 564m render distance circle (vanilla has these options)
- Camera direction line (vanilla has this)
- Standard xvm info (win chance, player ratings, etc)
- Crew Skill Informer (pressing Backspace shows your crew skills and mounted equipment)
- Artillery sight on minimap; instead of a little dot it has a square with a plus sign in it--> [ + ]
- Default Hitlog - shows my total damage done, as well as list of enemies I've shot and which I've killed (little red X beside name)
-----
I CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING TO BE CHEATING - and for several of them, so does Wargaming
- Hitzone Skins (show crew and module placement)
- Zoom Mods (any mod that allows greater zoom than vanilla, in or out, especially those mentioned in this video)
- SPG 'sniper' view (instead of the top-down SPG view, this mod gives you a standard sniper view, but also allows you to zoom in along your shell's trajectory)
- Crosshair Mods (basically mods that calculate all the parameters of 'rng', including distance, shot angle, armor thickness, effective armor thickness, and shell penetration)
- Destructible Obstacles (this mod shows all the obstacles on the minimap which can be driven through/destroyed, and some also inform as they are destroyed, whether or not the enemy has been spotted or is currently being spotted)
- Enemy Turret Direction (shows which way enemy turrets/guns are facing, including those outside your view/draw range)
- Enemy Reload Time (shows how long before an enemy is reloaded)
- Auto-aim (mods that enable you to auto-aim on enemy weak points or crew/module placements, includes the mod that lets you auto-aim on enemies that are outside your line of sight)
- Auto-repair/Auto-Extinguisher (mods that automatically repair damaged modules or heal crew members, and mods that automatically activate manual fire extinguishers)
- Laser Sight (shows a 'laser' beam from end of your barrel to target - I believe this mod also accounts for shell trajectory/arc)
There are probably more, but these are pretty much the ones I know exist, most of which I suspect have been used, or have seen first-hand in battle (most often track auto-repair).
---------------------
I also use custom icons that show up on the TAB screen in battle for players I've blacklisted. For example, if I've blacklisted a player for team damage, I press TAB, and there will be an icon beside their name showing 'TK'. I also have one for obvious bots ('B'), and another for griefers ('TR' for 'troll') - Claus has many videos of these types of players, who he calls Assholes, the players who park in front of you to keep you from moving, block you from backing out of enemy fire, or shove you into enemy fire/off cliffs, keep hitting you to mess up your shots, etc...
Just a little something I do to remind me why I've blacklisted someone.
I used to have one for map coord spammers, but WoT now has an option to block players only for the duration of battle, so I don't need icons to tell me why I blocked them any longer.
-----
How to use these custom icons:
I created them in MS Paint. A 96x96 image (must be PNG), small white border, black background, centered red text (size 50 bold font).
You can use whatever text or images you want. For example, since Claus calls these players 'Assholes', you could use 'AH'.
Or, you can use the popular 'rage face' image of a troll.
Make a copy of the image (keep the original for future use), rename it to the exact name of the player. You can right-click the player's name (from battle results, contact search, or private messages) and select 'Copy to clipboard'. Once you have the image named, you place it in the following folder (starting with game install location).
\res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\res\clanicons\NA\nick\
NOTE: Icons you have placed there while the game client is running will not appear until you next start the game client. There are different folders, specific to whichever client/server you're using:
CT: Common Test
EU: Europe
NA: North America
RU: Russia

None of the mods I use, in my opinion, give me an in-battle advantage. I don't 'xvm-snipe' (focus players with high WN8). I focus enemies based on their tank class and the situation, regardless of their stats. -
zeverzak
-
I also hate how in 3rd person view if you zoom in too much in sniper mode you lose your 3rd person perspective
-
I want to take your victory screen mod idea and turn it into an app for your phone
-
omg delete your game idiot mods are not cheats!!!
-
Isn't that green circel on your mini map showing your view range a mod?
-
agree with claus!
-
I agree with you that the game would be better if everyone was using the same interface. I disagree that the majority of players use a base mod pak to get one up on the opposition, rather get at least what everyone else already has. It's not as nefarious as you make it sound. Still, you have a valid argument.
-
That zoom out mod was only in for 1 patch i believe, i use QB's mod pack much of which is is included in the game now.
I like xvm so i can what kind of game it will be like if it will be just another curb stomping game against my team i hold back so i do not die with little or no dmg but your point is valid if all mods could be removed except for what wot includes in the game it would be better.
I some times wounder if the top tier players are insane the way they go full lemming is this maybe because they use the mod that shows trees being knocked over and so they know which way the enemy is going? -
Claus, would you consider a cosmetic mod cheating? like a historical gun sound mod or skin mod?
-
Quickybaby removed the zoom out mod. He still has the stats but that's not really cheating since you can look that info up on the WOT website.
-
I agree with ya Claus. I quit playin WOT because of the mothafuckin useless cheaters who can aimbot my weakspots from 300 meters away.
-
I quit PC gaming years ago. Last game was Quake 3 arena. Way to many mods, aimbots etc. I did always look for a color change mod. But that was for the common partial color blindness a lot of men have. Anyways I went to console play. It took a long time going from the more control/accurate - keyboeard/mouse, to a gamepad. But in the long run, I am enjoying gaming again. I feel as though there is less or no cheating in wot console. I feel there is cheating going on I don't notice it. If it's possible, maybe. shrugs. Thanx for another fun vid bud.
-
I totally agree with you Claus! Mods are the real cancer in this game. Thanks for having the guts to say things about the game that no one else will. Great observations.
-
I love how you give shit to quickybaby
-
I have un-installed (hopefully) for last time (hooked on game a bit). Don't have 50 GBP / 60 Euros for a new tank that still needs gold / gold ammo / premium account / hours of my valuable time ---- Skill perks x6 ( I think). Why volunteer for this?????? You da man Claus. Hey to Bob and your French Cousin. WOT are spoiling a perfectly good game !!!!!!!
-
I used to play "world of tanks " 10 hours a day and spend over 20 dollars a week. But now I spend less then 5 hours a week. Cause arty using mods called " battle assistant ". Thats complete bullsh*t! Keep hitting me behind a rock and a building!😠😠😠😬😡
