1. settlers 7 economy was supper deadlocked. one gard post could take down an army.  The only way to really brake even the simplest defense was trying to get access to a trade-port.  not saying it was bad it did lend itself well to late game strategy.  you had to get half way into the campain before you realized how fun it could be.
