Teach girls bravery, not perfection | Reshma Saujani
Trki, Kody, Cheaty do
We're raising our girls to be perfect, and we're raising our boys to be brave, says Reshma Saujani, the founder of Girls Who Code. Saujani has taken up the charge to socialize young girls to take risks and learn to program — two skills they need to move society forward. To truly innovate, we cannot leave behind half of our population, she says. "I need each of you to tell every young woman you know to be comfortable with imperfection." What she calls boys being raised to be brave I see as raising boys to responsible and have less self-value. Unlike the video that sees boys being raised to be risky they don't see that it's risky not for themselves but risky because they have a responsibility to provide for women and children and society through taxes and have to be self-sacrificing for any women in danger, but not for men in danger. Boys being raised to be risky would be fine if it was for them but it's not for them, their spoils go elsewhere in the form of providing for their wife or ex-wife through alimony and their spoils go into taxes of which the majority are men and they take on the jobs that result in the most fatalities because they've been raised to risk their lives and health whereas women are raised to value themselves more.
Basically it's not just a men have it good and women don't -
I am a blind guy and am held up to this ridicule of being perfect. I claim progress, not perfection. Bravery is better.
