So, hypothetically if I were to have a cheat meal once a week, but I balanced my intake for said day so that I still fall close to my set calorie intake (let's say 1500 a day), would I still get the benefit of having my glycogen levels reset? Do you need to go over your calorie threshold for one day or just try and add an unhealthy meal into the mix, but maintain the caloric intake set?

You should not have a "cheat day" when you are trying to lose weight. You SHOULD have a cheat meal though. You could have that burger or pizza once a week, but don't spend the whole day eating junk food. He mentioned this in the video, but I just don't like how he calls it a cheat day instead of a cheat meal, because it's misleading.

cheat days are just idiotic. Have one cheat meal and then go back to your normal diet for the rest of the day.

well instead feast with fast food i go with regular dish and white rice(im asian) but thats only once at lunch in my cheat day -
Just had a cheat meal after 1 week of dieting (lost almost 2,5 kilos yay) and this video made me feel a little bit better about it though :) I'm guessing lots of alcohol doesn't work the same?

I feel like cheat days are just another way of saying binging. I prefer to eat healthily without counting calories or restricting myself too much and i will have the occasional bar of chocolate or whatever instead of having a whole "cheat day"

Well, If you consider cheatday, then I recommend you eat 500-1000 calories before a cheatday and fast whole day after, so you will just make up for it.

i once did a fat % test in a gym, it said i need around 4350 calories a day to stay on weight, im using myfitnesspall app to count my calories and its saying i need 3250 a day to lose 0.5 kilo a week, i dont need to build muscle since according to the fat% test i already have alot of muscle mass and im trying to lose weight, my friend helped me with the calories and stuff, he said i can have anything i want but as soon as i reach 3250 calories i need to stop eating, so ive been eating healthier stuff so i dont starve rest of the day >.<, i dont have a cheat day, i can snack but i eat less of them now since i know that like a bag of chips of 300grams is around like 1600 calories which means i have lost about half of my calories in 1 snack >.<, ive been trying for years all diffrent kinds of stuff but i feel like this works for me atm

Dieting is not necessarily cutting. It just usually sounds that way to the common person that wants to lose weight. An example of not cutting but dieting is a lean bulk. Also junk food isn't always high in carbs either, often times just high in sugar and ultimately fat.

For weight loss I have my cheat day on weigh in day so I have a full week to undo the damage that it did.

The Numbers game is reliable have tested it and it works, however i am curios if you make 1 all you can eat gluttonous Sunday. Will all 5000 calories really be absorbed? will stomach be able to absorb all the quantities of calories in 1 day what it usually absorb in 2 and not guide large part of extra nutrients to waste?

Although counting calories is good, it is also important to observe where you are consuming those calories.
Calories from healthy foods: good
Calories from foods high in sugar or with minimal nutritional value: bad
