OK so it's a pretty well know trick that in pokemon Yellow you can do this, but it is also possible in Red and Blue using a new way of initiating the Ditto Trick/Trainer Fly Glitch. In this version, you black out from a wild battle right before a trainer instead of flying/escape roping away. See the video for details.

well let's see... i epically failed. i reloaded my save state, i walk around with my poisoned pikachu, fainted bulbasaur, and fainted weedle. and now i get poison damage and wild encounter but not in front of the trainer.
