Technical notes: By having the game fullscreen it seems to have caused some stuttering in the video. Also, my mouse is invisible. Shouldn't affect things too much. --- PATCH: 1.1.0 MODS: Adiya's Historical Flag Pack Enhanced Peace Conference AI Less Annoying Naval Alarm Music Pack Strategic View Adjustments Better Political Map Better Terrain View No Fog of War --- Exploiting the AI's failings, it's possible to cheese success in early wars against France and the UK. This is already known, but in this playthrough I demonstrate the cheese via Italy. Things do not always go as planned, and one save-scum is used to save a couple of tank divisions I accidentally got overrun in central France. Also, I regret not plotting war on Luxembourg. As discussed in the video, there is an alternative strategy of naval invasion of Montpellier. If you are willing to delay the war until after you've helped Franco out in Spain, this is a better strategy. For this hardcore world conquest strat, however, aiding the AI is deemed a waste of time, and we invade France a little too early for us to be able to easy snap the French AI's neck. Exploiting France's lack of a Faction and low national unity, they are easy pickings for the player nation. Against Britain, the reason the strategy works is because the Death Star - AKA the full brunt of the Royal Navy - is actually scattered far too thinly, and for some reason does not prioritize defending the English Channel, most of the time. If it does, the Italian Navy gets its head kicked in, so you need to be careful. Despite how weak early game naval invasions are supposed to be, it's easy to do versus Britain due to the very poor AI and the fact the AI has no intentions of actually defending its ports or stopping your beachhead. Annexing the UK is unfortunately rather trivial if you remember to point your naval invasion at East Anglia. --- If you enjoyed this video, please let me know in the comments. :)
