*Make sure your Disc Auto-Start is set to Off: Settings/System Settings/Disc Auto-Start/Off * Make sure your disc is clean! Remove Disc and wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth. From XMB: 1. Settings/Network Settings/Internet Connection/Enabled 2. PlayStation Network/Sign In 3. Insert Disc. 4. Game/GT6/*Triangle* for Options/Check For Update. 5. Press OK. The update will start to download within the XMB. 6. Download the first 6 updates only. 7. Allow the updates to install, but cancel the 7th update and exit. 8. Remove Disc. 9. Disconnect the internet. 10. Insert disc. 11. Start GT6 and cancel the connection prompt. The updates will now install within GT6. This part is important: After playing around a bit inside GT6 offline, press Start and select Options: 1. Game Data/Install Game Data/Delete Installed Files. 2. Network/Clear System Cache. 3. Exit and manually Save 4. Quit game. From XMB: 1. Game/GT6/Remove disc. 2. Settings/Network Settings/Internet Connection/Enabled 3. PlayStation Network/Sign In 4. Insert Disc. 5. GT6/Options/Check For Update. 6. Press OK. The 7th update will start to download. 7. Download the first update only. 8. Allow the update to install, but cancel the next download and exit. 9. Remove Disc. 10. Disconnect the internet. 11. Insert disc. 12. Start GT6 and cancel the connection prompt. The update will now install within GT6... Again. Repeat the last 12 steps above until you're at the latest version 1.22. Be patient, and follow every step, every time. ie. Remove disc, Clear System Cache and Delete Installed Files. It may be a random thing, but worked for me this time. All I can say is GOOD LUCK !!

I downloaded all the updates (21), then started the game and they installed. It took about 4 hours, but none of this was necessary at all.

i had to download 21 fucking updates,of course first 2 attempts with errors,had to do it 3rd and it was ok!started the game then,fucking surprise,update in the game was short,then fucking instalation error!please someone give me a solution!i don't want to do that 5 hours updates again!

Will this work for the false "Data may be corrupted " error? I just got this game today from Walmart and I didn't play it at all.

What's with removing the disc every time? It shouldn't matter if you have autoload from disc off, no?

So what do you do if you have jumped from the first software to the latest and you are stuck?

Quick question, the 7th upgrade is the 1.07 right? So I must stop when I get to version 1.06 in order to avoid errors in the update?

Hye, tx for give me an idea how to fix these b!@#$%t problem. I just wanna share extra step for anybody that faced the same problem. After clean the game data step, quit the game. then SIGN OUT THE PSN FIRST and check the update again and run the update. It took around near 10 HOURS-run update from ver.1.00 to 1.22, and WASTE MY INTERNET QUOTA, total nearly 20GB!!! + 2 times download update fail :-(. Finaly is work and success, yeayy.

I'll pay someone to download and install this damn game to my ps3 aha.

I'm sorry but the fact that anyone has to do any of this is Total Bull Shit!!! This game "PS" exclusive it should work straightfoward out the box... all this manipulation of the game is a waste of my time and money. Those of us that have had issues with this game should sue Sony.
