I'm glad you bring up the left-right brain myth through math vs music. Any good student of music would tell you that music theory is nothing short of a complex mathematical system.

I wish that Ted would include the sources he used =)

Great speech, awful audience

jack black here sounds better at 1.5X speed (let's face it, u didn't need 15 mins of my life for 10 facts). Also the description is wrong. He didn't really talk about how the brain really works, at all.

This guy is just reciting some high schooler's research paper, right?
-
absolute crap. not a science
-
I can't find ANY evidence on the claims he just made considering the milgram experiment.
Can anyone help me out? Is it TRUE, that the participants were told, that the shocks were practically harmless? -
Now that we can know the truth, and it is not horrible the way people thought. In fact, it is better than you could have hoped for. It could not be better, so it is time to forget the myths and embrace the truth. For the 1st time ever the Truth about the nature of the mind and life in general is exposed. It contains your ultimate purpose. Google TruthContest read the Present

This talk is based on research that cannot be reproduced. So many people want to understand the mind by quoting fraudulent research. LMAO pseudoscience psychologists

Last year and this year different therapists had me take a rorschach test, to which I, curious about psychology, responded that it was nonsense, of course that did not bother both of them because as quoted I did not study the field. My last and former therapist also involved a ridiculous amount body language in his diagnosis to a point where he interpreted even the way I sat. Once I had to take an IQ Test that relied on nothing more than spatial thinking. Way to go therapists, way to go.

This guy is making me more and more upset, who gave him a stage?!? He's trying to debunk studies in seconds! Really want to hit my head against a wall right now.

There's no way you read Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. You can't debunk an entire book by showing how 2 perceived differences between men and women aren't very different at all. These opinions weren't even talked about in the book, which discussed more emotional tendencies between men and women. You compared men and women in a more physical sense of the word. How far men and women can throw a ball, how spatially aware they are, and how they fair on grammar tests. You attempted to debunk a man's entire life works by arguing points that weren't even in the book! The ideas in John Gray's book permeate more than a surface level of knowledge that we have about men and women. Instead, he looks into relational differences between men and women, which there are in fact many to choose from. Next time you try to debunk an entire book in 1 and a half minutes, please read it first.

i think those tests dont show that it helps because you dont do them in the same way as when your at home and doing the tests with the same intention and believe. It sorta like when you watch someone trying to shoot a football in a goal they will fail and when you dont look they will do it also saying hes on fire will jinx it. So your sabotaging your own research. You are studying a sport or test and its not behaviour.
